Chinese structural steel consumption to double by 2020
On 7 April a steel standards and techniques commission under China’s Structural Steel Association was established in Beijing, led by the China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute (MPI). The commission hopes to complete a jointly-agreed standard for use of steel structures within 6 months, helping to boost the expanding steel structures market.
