Chinese steel weakens despite Hegang hike

Chinese steel futures prices stalled on Wednesday, with rebar flat and hot rolled coil falling. A sharp increase in Hebei Iron and Steel’s ex-works prices surprised that market, but was not enough to give clarity to spot prices, Kallanish notes.
