Chinese steel wobbles on weak Tangshan restrictions
Chinese steel futures pries ticked lower again on Wednesday as the market continued to fluctuate on sentiment. Clarity in Tangshan’s steel restrictions did nothing to support the market, which had expected tougher controls, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the January 2019 rebar contract closed at CNY 4,093/tonne ($599/t), CNY 22/t down from Tuesday, while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed down CNY 42/t at CNY 4,094/t.…
