Chinese steelmakers rush to meet ultra-low emission standards
Following Zenith Iron & Steel and Hegang Handan Iron & Steel, Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipe and Shougang are reported to have completed upgrades to meet ultra-low emissions standards in recent days. Steel mills are accelerating such modifications because those which meet the ultra-low emissions standards will avoid winter restrictions, Kallanish notes.
