Chinese steelmakers significantly increase May flats offers
Five major steelmakers in China – Bengang, Shougang, Angang, Ningbo Steel and HBIS – have significantly increased flat product prices for May, in line with current high demand and expectations of limited production, Kallanish notes.
Bengang added CNY 600/tonne ($92/t) to hot rolled coil prices, as well as CNY 150/t and CNY 300/t to cold rolled coil and pickled coil prices respectively. As for other products, the firm has not made any changes…
