CIS crude steel output rebounds, still down on-year
CIS crude steel production continued to decrease in May, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 8.17 million tonnes, down by -7.6% year-on-year.
In January-May CIS crude steel production was down -3.5% on-year to 41.1mt.
Output did, however, rebound from the 6.55mt recorded in April.
