CIS crude steel output rebounds in March
CIS crude steel production increased in March, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 7.8 million tonnes, up 1.5% year-on-year.
In January-March, output was also up, by 1.6% on-year to 21.8mt.
Russian production last month is estimated to have increased by only 0.8% to 6.6mt. In the first quarter of the year, output fell 0.2% to 18.7mt.
