CIS steel output continues to fall in August

CIS crude steel production decreased in August, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to an estimated 6.9 million tonnes, down by 22.4% year-on-year. During the first eight months of 2022, crude steel production was 59.1mt, down 18.2% on January-August 2021.
