CISA members keep output high in early May
After pushing up daily crude steel output to an eight-month high in late April, China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) member steelmakers saw only a slow decline in output in early May, Kallanish notes.
Daily crude steel output of CISA members was down just 0.36% over ten days to 2.19 million tonnes in the reporting period, which was also 2.63% lower than a year earlier.
