CISA members’ steel production hits 9-month high
In mid-May, China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) member steelmakers kept hiking steel production since steel prices began to rebound after the announcement of China’s real estate stimulus package, Kallanish notes.
Daily crude steel production of CISA members hiked 0.81% from ten days earlier to 2.21 million tonnes, a new year-to-date high. The previous high was registered in late April, at 2.2m t/d.
