CISA publishes steelmaking January raw materials break-down
Chinese steelmaking raw materials prices soared year-on-year in January, according to a review by the China Iron & Steel Association (CISA). Steelmakers generally were profitable in January, however, with steel prices increasing faster than raw materials costs, and steelmaking’ margins were growing further over Feb-March, Kallanish notes.
