US sheet mills raise prices
US sheet mills, including Cleveland-Cliffs and US Steel, confirmed on 28 November that they would be increasing prices on hot rolled, cold rolled and coated steel products.
Cleveland-Cliffs announced that prices would go up by $60/short ton, effective immediately. Sources say US Steel has increased prices to $680-700/st for hot rolled coil and $950/st for cold rolled coil.
Kallanish currently puts HRC at $630-645/st CRC at $880-900/st.
