Components shortage impacts Spain’s car industry in March

Spanish car production suffered input material supply problems during March, Kallanish notes. The country saw a shortage of components at several plants, a consequence of the delays caused by the Red Sea shipping crisis. Production and exports also declined following lower demand during Easter. Output in March was 195,252 units, compared to 227,923 vehicles in February and down 17.7% versus the same month in 2023.
