Construction demand drives Hoa Phat's August sales
Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat's sales rose in August, helped by a sharp recovery in domestic demand for construction steel.
Sales of construction steel, billet and hot rolled coil in the past month were 628,600 tonnes, according to Hoa Phat's newsletter. Construction steel sales jumped by 44% year-on-year to 386,000t, while, compared to July, HRC sales rose 56% to 233,000t.
