Construction investment decreases in Canada, led by commercial
Non-residential building construction investment in Canada decreased by 0.9% month-on-month in February to a total of CAD 6.0 billion ($4.3 billion), Kallanish learns from a Statistics Canada press release.
On a year-on-year basis, non-residential construction investment improved in two of the three industry sub-sectors. The increases were 9.4% for the industrial component and 18.0% for institutional projects. The commercial component was down by 7.3%.
