CSC uses temperature control to reduce carbon emissions
Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) on Tuesday stated that it had installed an intelligent temperature control system for the semis heating furnace of its No.1 hot rolling plant, Kallanish notes.
The company declares that this action is to meet downstream customers’ growing demand for low-emissions steel products. After several debugs, results show that the technology can achieve an annual reduction of 14,228 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
