ArcelorMittal, CSN join Israeli hydrogen project
Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) says it has acquired a minority stake in Israeli startup H2Pro. ArcelorMittal has simultaneously invested $5 million in the developer of innovative technology for cheaper green hydrogen, Kallanish notes.
H2Pro plans to produce hydrogen at a cost of under $2/kg from 2023, when its project is expected to enter into operation. In 2030, the H2 cost should be under $1/kg.
