CSP sets premium steels production record in 2021
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) posted record results in terms of quality and production of high-tech steel (HTS) in 2021, the company tells Kallanish.
HTS accounted for 24.4% of the year’s production of 2.8 million tonnes, compared to 13.4% and 16% respectively in 2020 and 2019. In November alone, the premium steels had a 42% share in production, an all-time monthly record, according to CSP.
