European demand lifts CSP second-quarter shipments, earnings
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw production rise both on-quarter and year-on-year in the second quarter, Kallanish learns from data issued by South Korean joint venture partner Dongkuk Steel. Sales also remained strong.
CSP’s slab production reached 734,000 tonnes in Q2, a growth of 18.4% compared to the first quarter and also up by 0.1% y-o-y. Sales were 768,000t, up 20.9% or 133,000t on-quarter. …
