CSP slab exports hit five-year high in June
Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) saw its shipments abroad rise sharply in June, to a five-year high, Kallanish notes.
According to data issued by the local port authority, CSP’s June slab exports reached 309,369 tonnes, up 76.2% on-month and also 21.9% higher versus the 253,755t shipped in June 2021. This was the second-highest monthly volume supplied abroad by the producer after the 320,977t shipped in May 2017.
