Danieli to operate Energiron DRI plant for Lisco
Libyan Iron and Steel Company (Lisco) and Italy's Danieli have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic partnership to build a new Energiron direct reduction plant in a joint venture. Danieli will own 51% of the project, and Lisco will have the remaining 49%. The payback period is expected to be eight years from the plant's completion, with construction estimated at 3.5 years, notes Kallanish.
