Demand drives Steel Dynamics earnings
US steel producer Steel Dynamics Inc reported a net income of $918.48 million in Q3, down from $990.76m for Q3 2021, reports Kallanish.
Steel Dynamics credited its variable cost structure and differentiated business model for the quarter's record performance. Compared to 2021, net sales for the first nine months of the year increased 33% and operating income went up by 51% in Q3 2022.
