Dillinger supplies plate for French offshore wind farm
Dillinger has delivered plate for France's first offshore wind farm, which is being built off the Atlantic coast, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker.
The offshore wind farm in Saint-Nazaire, with a total capacity of 480MW, will produce 20% of the electricity consumed in the Loire-Atlantique region. Dillinger supplied around 80,000 tonnes of steel for the construction of the monopiles for the 80 wind turbines.
