Duferco contracts SMS for San Zeno beam line
Duferco has contracted SMS to build its new beam line at the San Zeno plant.
The new line has been planned by Duferco for several years; now the plan is to build it in less than two years and have a rapid ramp-up. The rolling mill will be fed with billet from the meltshop located near-by.
The investment will be €180 million ($215m) and, once completed, will lift the group’s capacity to 1.5 million tonnes/year of finished long products.
