ISD Dunaferr restarts revamped blast furnace
Hungarian flat steelmaker IDS Dunaferr has restarted its blast furnace (BF) no 2 after a renovation, Kallanish learns from the company.
The investment will enable Dunaferr to fulfil smaller orders and significantly improve the quality of the products manufactured, its managing director Evgeny Tankhilevich says in a statement. The steelmaker aims to raise its annual steel products output to 2 million tonnes from around 1.7mt at present, he adds.
