Eastern Steel orders slab caster from Primetals
Malaysia's Eastern Steel has ordered a slab caster from Primetals for its Chukai plant in Terengganu, West Malaysia.
The equipment has a design capacity of 1.6 million tonnes/year, which will produce high-quality slab for value-added grades running at up to 2.5 metres per minute, Kallanish notes.
