Eastern Steel targets high-end products in phase 3
Eastern Steel, a joint venture between Malaysian steelmaker Hiap Teck Venture and Chinese steelmaker Beijing Jianlong Group, will focus on producing high-end steel products and special steel in its phase 3 expansion, Kallanish notes from its statement.
While the statement did not mention the timeline, local media reported that the firm will kickstart the phase 3 expansion in 2025. The expansion plan may take three to four years to be completed.
