EU drives Turkey's February scrap imports rise
Turkey's scrap imports rose on-year in February, supported by increased procurement from the European Union, as intake from the US and CIS decreased, Kallanish learns from a Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) statement.
February's scrap imports stood at 2.52 million tonnes, up 9.6% year-on-year, while their total value increased 47.5% to $664 million, says the association.
