Europe leads Turkey's March HR flats exports drop
Turkish hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports decreased in March, mainly on the back of reduced shipments to Europe, excluding Italy, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
March HR flats exports stood at 248,677 tonnes, down -28.2% year-on-year and -25.8% down over February's exports volume. The overall average value/tonne of these exports rose to $620/t from $538/t a year earlier.
