Evraz NA to partner on new solar plant
Evraz North America has reached an agreement with Xcel Energy and Lightsource BP to build a 240-megawatt solar power plant in Pueblo, Colorado, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
Lightsource will contribute $250 million to the so-called Bighorn Solar project and operate the plant, selling the electricty to Xcel for distribution to Evraz for green steelmaking.
The plant is slated to come online by 2021, and it will give Evraz electrical price certainty…
