Evraz sales to Kenya, Algeria surge, Egypt down
Evraz’s revenue generated in Africa was flat on-year in 2017 at $264 million, Kallanish learns from the Russian steelmaker. This represented 2.4% of consolidated revenue, down 1 percentage point versus 2016.
Revenue generated in Egypt fell -28% on-year to $100m, meaning it was overtaken as the region’s top-earning country by Kenya, which saw sales surge 36% to $106m. Sales in Algeria surged 125% to $36m.
