Evraz to build railway wheels plant
Evraz will build a production facility for steel wheels for freight cars, the Russian miner and steelmaker says.
The capacity of the new workshop will be 200,000 units/year, with the possibility of increasing to 300,000 units/y. Total investment is RUB 16 billion ($213 million), Kallanish notes. The start of production is scheduled for 2022. Evraz will build the complex in the “Titanium Valley” special economic zone in the Sverdlovsk Region.
