Exports help lift Mechel BMK shipments
Russian miner and steelmaker Mechel's Beloretsk steelworks (BMK) increased shipments in 2020, the company says.
BMK shipped over 120,000 tonnes of steel, up by 6% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Shipments of low-carbon welding wire saw growth of 4% on-year – this is used for tying cargo, and making nails, nets and fences. The highest sales growth of 60% was in commercial wire rod.
