Far East sentiment drives down Iranian billet
Iranian billet export prices are falling, driven by the decline in the Far East market, the leading export destination.
This was much anticipated when Iranian slab settled at $471-472/tonne fob last week, and billet prices in China fell to $490-495/t fob, while in Indonesia they levelled at $510-515/t fob for April loading, notes Kallanish.
