February production drops despite China, Mid-East growth
Global crude steel production inched down 1% on-year in February to 142.35 million tonnes, despite estimated growth in China, as most regions except the Middle East saw declines. Production was also down 8% on January, despite a rebound in Europe, Kallanish notes.
