US imports drop in February

The American Iron and Steel Institute reports US imports of steel in February dropped by 13.5% from January’s import figure, Kallanish understands.
The US imported a total of 2.26 million short tons in February, versus January's 2.60m st. The volume of finished goods equalled 1.72m st versus January’s total of 2m st. February’s finished steel products were down 14.3%.
