Formosa reconsidering blast furnace

Vietnam’s Formosa Ha Tinh steelworks is reportedly reconsidering its investment in a third blast furnace. The company has already decided to reduce output in August due to pressure on its margins, Kallanish notes. Formosa Ha Tinh commissioned its 7.1 million tonnes/year of blast furnace capacity over 2017-2018.
