France's SNCF upgrades network, places major rail order
French railway state company Société National des Chemins de Fer Français (SNCF) has ordered 750,000 tonnes of rails to a total value of €1 billion ($1.14 billion), the company reveals in a note. This responds to the need to renovate part of the SNCF national rail network.
