French stainless scrap prices increase, availability low

Stainless steel scrap prices in France are increasing by some €200/tonne ($199) month-on-month due to increased demand, market participants tell Kallanish. Activity in November is resuming after the lower volumes sold in October, as French mills reduced their output last month due to high energy costs.
