Gansu Jiugang shuts down steel plants
China's Jiuquan Iron & Steel (Jiugang) in Gansu Province is going to suspend its steel plants till the end of 2021, Kallanish notes from the latest market reports.
The steelmaker plans to shut down its Yuzhong steel base from 10 October to late-December, which will cut an estimated 700,000 tonnes of construction steel output.
