GCC retail rebar market surges amid global escalation
The Gulf Cooperation Council's largest rebar producer, Saudi Arabia, is witnessing an unprecedented price increase, Kallanish notes.
In the retail market, 12-32mm diameter rebar prices have jumped to SAR 3,150/tonne ($840) from last week's SAR 2,900/t. 8-10mm dia rebar prices are heard at SAR 3,300-3,400/t. These values are all delivered and excluding 15% VAT.
