GEDIA Automotive sources carbon-reduced steel from Salzgitter
GEDIA Automotive Group and the strip steel unit of Salzgitter AG, Salzgitter Flachstahl (SZFG), have signed a memorandum of understanding for the supply of CO2-reduced steels to the automotive supplier.
It will use strip from Salzgitter’s SALCOS route in manufacturing its products in order to make the production of body press parts and welding components more sustainable in the future.
