Gerard to retire as USW chief in July
Long-time United Steelworkers International (USW) president Leo Gerard plans to retire this summer, Kallanish learns from a union release.
Gerard has been a member of the USW for more than 50 years and has served as president since 2001. He will be replaced by current vice president Tom Conway. USW District 1 director David McCall will then fill Conway’s position as vice president.
