Gerdau to restart Maracanaú’s rolling line in January
Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau is restarting its rolling line at the Maracanaú mill in Ceará state, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
In November, activities were temporarily stopped at the unit, which implemented a program of temporary suspension of employee contracts. This decision resulted from the lower demand for domestic steel attributed to the growing supply of imported products, mainly from China.
