GFG promises additional capacity expansions in US
GFG Alliance executive chairman Sanjeev Gupta says the company plans to continue to expand its footprint in the US, Kallanish reports.
GFG subsidiary Liberty Steel USA is weighing an expansion of its Peoria, Illinois, raw steel capacity from 800,000 short tons/year to 1.1 million st/y. The company may also bring a second 500,000 st/y electric arc furnace online in Georgetown, South Carolina.
