Global Ferronickel returns to black
Philippines nickel producer Global Ferronickel returned to the black in the first quarter, Kallanish notes.
The group achieved a Q1 net income of PHP 358.8 million ($6.44m), as compared to a net loss of PHP 198.2 million a year ago.
The group also achieved revenue of PHP 1.1 billion, surging 28 times from PHP 39.9m.
A total of 330,000 wet metric tonnes was shipped in the quarter, all of which was medium-grade nickel ore.
