Global headwinds to impact Indian steel exports: ICRA
Export duties along with the subdued external demand environment will severely restrict Indian steel exports in the current fiscal year ending 31 March 2023 (FY23), says rating agency ICRA.
It expects finished steel exports to plummet by 40-45% on-year in FY23, based on April-July average monthly exports of only 600,000t versus 1.12mt in FY22.
