Global oil/gas rig count tumbles in April
The number of working oil and gas rigs operating worldwide fell heavily both month-on-month and year-on-year in April 2020, according to the Baker Hughes monthly rig count, monitored by Kallanish. Numbers fell both in the North American and the wider international sectors.
The number of rigs operating in the US fell by 206 on-month to 566 in April, while those in Canada fell by 100 m-o-m to 33.
