Global slowdown curbs electrodes demand: Graphite India
Graphite India has been hampered by intense competition from imports in its domestic market and reduced steel production and destocking in EAF steelmaking nations due to slowing economic growth.
In the second fiscal quarter through September (FQ2) Graphite India’s net sales slumped -62% on-year to INR 882 crore ($111.7 million) and net profit plummeted -83% to INR 185 crore. Deliveries and sales prices fell on-year, the firm says without providing figures.…
