Guilin Pinggang orders ECR longs plant
Southern China’s Guilin Pinggang has ordered a 1.2 million tonne/year capacity Endless Cast Rolling (ECR) wire rod and bar plant, the first of its kind in China, according to equipment supplier Danieli. The new technology aims to cut yield loss and boost energy efficiency, leading to low costs and pollution, Kallanish notes.
